Board of Directors
Bruno Pessoa Serapião was, for 9 years, the Chief Executive Officer of Hidrovias do Brasil S.A and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hidrovias do Brasil S.A. He is a Partner at Patria Investimentos and Director of the Infraestructure Group. Prior to joining Hidrovias do Brasil and Pátria Investimentos, Mr. Bruno spent three years with GE Transportation, at first being the executive responsible for Business Development in Latin America. While acting in this capacity, Mr. Bruno developed the rail market diversification strategy to other related markets, such as signs, off-highway vehicles, and maritime engines. Additionally, Mr. Bruno has consolidated the company’s previous position with propulsion services and business units for Latin America, having spent, prior to being part of GE Transportation, five years with América Latina Logística ALL (Logistics). Before that Mr. Bruno has worked in the aviation sector, together with the Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority as an air traffic capacity Engineer and senior consultant with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants at the Competence Aviation Center. Mr. Bruno has a diploma in Aeronautical Mechanical Engineering by ITA (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica), a master‘s degree in Operational Research by COPPE/UFRJ and an MBA from Insead Business School in France. Mr. Bruno has 24 years of market experience.
Marcelo Souza is a Partner at Patria Investimentos and Director of the Infraestructure department. Has more than 20 (twenty) years of experience in projects and finance, and held the position of Finance and IR Director (CFO) of CPFL Renováveis from 2008 until August 2014, when he joined Patria Brasil and served as Executive Officer. In addition, he served as Vice President of Econergy (Energia) from 2006 to 2008 and CFO of Alliant Energy in Brazil from 2001 to 2006. Between 1994 and 2001 he assumed leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Consultoria). Mr. Souza holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-MG). He has a postgraduate degree in Management and Corporate Finance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and an MBA from Ohio University.
Roberto Lucio Cerdeira Filho is an Associate Partner in the infrastructure area of Pátria Investimentos, serves as investment director. Previously, he was executive director of Para Bem, one of the companies in Pátria Investimentos’ portfolio in the parking segment. Mr. Cerdeira started his career at Pátria Investimentos in 2011 as an investment director. Before joining Pátria Investimentos, Mr. Cerdeira worked for Evercore Partners in the Mergers & Acquisitions team in London and for Gulf Capital Partners, a Brazilian company with real estate investments, financial services and renewable energy. Mr. Cerdeira has extensive experience in different sectors such as logistics, water treatment, real estate, energy and financial services. Mr. Cerdeira graduated in Business Administration at PUC-Rio and has an MBA from the London Business School.
Bruno Augusto Sacchi Zaremba is Head of the Private Equity team and member of the Board of Directors of many companies from Vinci’s portfolio, such as Burger King, Cecrisa, Austral and Uniasselvi. He was member of UBS Pactual Gestora de Investimentos Alternativos team between the years of 2006 and 2009. He acted as an investment manager in stock exchange and commodities developed in Banco Pactual, where he has been a partner since 2001. At Banco Pactual, he joined the research group as Banks, Drinks, Wholesale, Food and Tobacco senior analyst. He holds an Economics degree from PUC-Rio and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Certificate.
José Guilherme Cruz Souza is partner and member of Vinci Partners Private Equity team. He joined the Banco Pactual (current BTG Pactual) in 2005, being jointly liable for managing Brasil Energia Investment Fund (FIP Brasil Energia) until 2009. During this period, the fund’s committed capital (R$ 1,2 billion) was invested in 8 projects and companies, in transmission and generation of energy segments, by means of mezzanine and equity instruments. His duties comprised prospecting opportunities, technical analysis, financial analysis, organizing operations and management of investment companies, acting in their Board of Directors. Before Pactual, Mr. Souza acted for 4 years as Senior Associate at Stern Stewart, an American financial management consultancy company, developing projects for establishment of Value- Based Management, by using Economic Value Added (EVA®) methodology, as well as projects in Corporate Finance segment. Mr. Souza has more than 5 years of experience in national financial market and has worked with Asset Management and Equity Sales & Trading at Citigroup and Graphus Bank. He is currently a member of Board of Directors in Centrais Elétricas do Pará (Celpa) and Cecrisa S.A, and an alternate member of audit committee of Equatorial Energia S.A. Mr. Souza completed his MBA in 2001 from Rochester University (USA), being elected, due to his performance, to be a member of Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. José Guilherme completed his undergraduate studies as the #1 student of the Electrical Engineering Class of 1994 in the Federal Engineering School of Itajubá (EFEI), MG.
Gabriel Felzenszwalb is a partner in the Private Equity team of Vinci Partners. In 2007, he joined the Private Equity group of UBS Pactual Alternative Investment Manager. From 2008 to 2010, he was assigned to the portfolio company Inbrands, where he served as CEO and CFO. Previously, he was an analyst in the Venture Capital operation of Banco BBM, business consultant at McKinsey & Co., M&A manager at Vivo and associate at GP Investimentos. He holds a degree in Engineering from UFRJ and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Ricardo Schenker Wajnberg is a founding partner of Módulo Capital, and he was a partner of Gávea Investimentos (2004-2011), where he joined in 2003. During this period, he oversaw variable income desk until 2008 and jointly liable for PIPEs and private equity segment until 2011. He previously worked at Banco CR2 de Investimentos (2000-2003) with variable income. He started his professional career as an intern at BBM Bank (1998-2000). He was a member of the Board of Director of Multiterminais, Lojas Americanas, OR and Simpress and Santos Brasil. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BK Brasil Operação e Assessoria a Restaurantes S.A. Ricardo holds a master’s degree in Economics from IBMEC-RJ (2002) and a degree in Civil Production Engineering from PUC-RJ (2000).
Adriana Waltrick has over 25 years of experience in the Brazilian energy sector. She is certified member of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance, graduated in Administration from UNISINOS. Has an executive MBA at Faculdade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, a MBA in finance from the University of São Paulo and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was member of the Board of Directors at CPFL Renováveis, Geração Foz do Chapecó, Energética Barra Grande S.A. (BAESA), Centrais Elétricas da Paraíba (EPASA), consultant at Pacific Hydro Chile, ABEEOLICA and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of SPIC – Pacific Hydro Global Investment Committee. She participated in the “Data Science Specialist” programs at the University of Berkeley, the “Negotiation Program” at Harvard University, “Advanced Mergers & Acquisitions” by the Amsterdam Institute of Finance and the “Creating Shareholder Value” at Northwestern University, Chicago.
Marcos Tinti joined the CBO Group in 2017, acting as Operations Diretor. In March 2019, he was appointed CEO of the Group CBO. Marcos Tinti graduated in Accounting from FMU/SP (1990), a post-graduate degree in Finance from FECAP and a master’s degree in Business Administration from COPPEAD/UFRJ. Mr. Tinti has extensive experience in operational management, having served as director for companies such as Tegma Gestão Logística S.A., Elog Logística S/A, Trifil Indústria Textil S/A and Movicarga Logística, and he also served as manager in the operational and distribution divisions of companies such as Parmalat Brasil S/A, Tigre S/A and Brahma/AmBev/InBev.
Marcelo Martins has 20 years of experience in the area of shipbuilding and maritime support, has been director of the CBO Group since 2013 and since 2009 has served as the planning, engineering and supply superintendent of Aliança Shipyard. Previously, in 2005, he worked at the shipyard as Project Manager for a series of 8 vessels, following from the basic project to the delivery of the ships. Since 2002, he worked as CBO‘s technical / commercial advisor, discussing charter contracts, adapting vessels to customer requirements, maritime support market analysis and customer relations. He joined CBO in 1996 as an intern and was hired as an engineer in 1997 where he served in the new construction supervision group, responsible for the basic design, structure, steel fittings and finishing areas. Marcelo holds a degree in Naval Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master‘s degree in Naval and Oceanic Engineering from COPPE and an MBA from COPPEAD.
Rodrigo Ribeiro dos Santos has over 25 years of experience in finance, quality assurance and process management, with solid experience in business and IT, 10 years working with ISO 9000, 14001, SA 8000 and OHSAS 18001 standards and 5 years operating with management model of FNQ (Fundação Nacional de Qualidade) and skill as a PMO. He has experience in the Oil & Gas, IT, Health Services and Event sectors. Graduated in Economics from PUC-Rio with an MBA from NYU and PMP Certification. He joined Oceana Offshore in 2012, passing through the positions of Manager and Financial Superintendent, before becoming Director. Before joining Oceana Offshore, he passed through Moma Engenharia e Informática and Geo Eventos S.A.
Rafael Passos Kirsten has 12 years of professional experience in Private Equity, having worked in the energy, infrastructure, agribusiness and health sectors. Formed since 2007 by INSPER / SP in economics, Mr. Rafael Kirsten has solid experience in fund administration and management, prospecting for new business as well as serving over the years of financial committees, investors and boards of investee companies. of the funds through which it passed. Mr. Rafael Kirsten actively participated in the investment teams of Victoire Brasil Investimentos, BANIF – Banco de Investimento and BRZ Investimentos. In March 2014, he joined the Casa de Gestão team as Investment and New Business Director and later, in 2018, joined Prumo Logística as Merger and Acquisition Manager. In August 2019, he joined the CBO Group as Investor Relations Officer of the Company.
Darcy de Paula holds a degree in Law from UNIVAP/SP Law School and an MBA in Retail Administration – FGV / RJ. With over 30 years of experience as a generalist in Human Resources, administrative services and utilities area, with a career developed in people and business management, in large, national and multinational companies from different countries and cultures, some with more than 10,000 employees (Bank Boston, Rede Globo, Freudenberg, Philips, LG and CBO), as well as companies such as Autoliv and Angeloni.
